Cheer Magic (魔法を応援, Mahō o ōen) is a Support-type, Caster Magic and a Subspecies of Sound Magic that boosts the power of the intended target of the Mage.
Description[]
Cheer Magic revolves entirely around the Mage cheering on someone else to boost their power. The more the Mage cheers and the harder they cheer the stronger the person they're cheering for becomes. The cheers can revive the target, cause them to grow larger and stronger and even perform feats of superhuman strength. In essence this Magic can allow a Non-Mage to go toe-to-toe with a Mage, as long as the one performing Cheer Magic continues to cheer.
Because this Magic powers up the one who is being cheered on, this magic and the users of this magic have been banned from the Grand Magic Games in order to prevent any unfair advantages or outside help for the participants during the Games.
Weaknesses[]
While the effects of this magic can be great, it also has several drawbacks and can be easily countered by Sound Magic or anyone who knows who to target first.
Because this magic relies upon someone actively cheering, the major weakness of this magic is that if the Mage who is cheering is taken out, the one effected by the cheers can no longer gain more power. Also if the Cheering Mage is in anyway prevented from being able to cheer (ie unconscious, rendered mute or in some otherway gagged) or if the target of the Cheering Mage is in anyway prevented from being able to hear the cheer (ie rendered deaf or too much noise to hear) this magic is made useless.
